Read the huge cost advantages for Super Six roofs, Decramastic roofs, Membrane Butynol roofs and Rusty roofs which also include waterproofing blocks walls and moss treatments of any roof type.
Lance, with his years in business is well placed to explain the merits of alternative options when it comes to removing the roof of a Decramastic or Super Six roof with asbestos and the high compliancy costs in this method of removal. On top of this is the need to go through the very high cost of taking it to a designated asbestos dump. Also, Butynol roofs and Rusty roofs without asbestos can be restored to give years more life.
Super Six Roofs and Waterproofing Concrete Block Walls
Huge savings when following this alternative procedure as many Super Six roofs and waterproofed concrete block walls leak. So with this extremely flexible membrane coating of an amazing elongation of 200%, your roof or wall will be leak free. X Series CPM is the answer for concrete block walls as well.
Excellent UV tolerance and will never become brittle.
Corrosion proof so ideal to go over the metal joiners.
Proven for 40 years overseas and nearly 20 years in NZ, it's even been used in projects like Fonterra's roofs, remaining in excellent condition.
X Series CPM also saves replacing with a new iron roof, ensuring long-lasting durability without corrosion issues.
These options save hundreds of dollars on residential roofs and even bigger savings on larger commercial roofs.
Decramastic Roofs
The benefits of not removing the existing Decramastic roof with asbestos remain applicable. Gerard Roofing have perfected an overlay system to be placed directly over the existing Decramastic roof, eliminating leaks while offering a variety of colours to choose from with a much stronger tile that can more easily be walked on. Also, if your roof is in reasonable condition, a rechip and repaint will qualify you for a 10–15 year warranty on the paint system.
The Process
If you are interested, kindly fill in the provided forms on each page or contact form and Lance will promptly send out a brochure detailing the other advantages. Following this, you can expect a phone call where, with some basic information, a tentative price estimate can be given. Afterwards, an experienced contractor will conduct a final assessment of the job, discuss colour options, and once accepted, proceed with a written contract to carry out the task professionally.

Lances journey to health with cancer
At one point, doctors at Auckland Hospital gave Lance less than a year to live after his bowel cancer returned post-surgery. His surgeon, learning of a patient who was completely cured using the American drug Keytruda, suggested he try it. Though the treatment was costly—$10,000 every three weeks for nearly four years—it gradually cleared the cancer, and he was fully cancer-free a year ago.
Keytruda only works for about 5% of people due to specific protein levels, making his recovery even more remarkable. Staying active with e-biking and table tennis has helped him maintain his health while running his new venture. His reliable team includes a long-time staff member who has worked with him for 25 years.
Looking ahead, Lance has a succession plan in place. He has appointed a co-director, though not a shareholder, will take over the business when he is past it.
Lance still enjoys playing table tennis at his local cosmopolitan club. He has also joined an e-bike club and is looking forward to organising a team to take part in the around the Lake event at Taupo.
